Trap Nets are very effective for catching anything from minnows to muskies. The greatest advantage of the Trap/Fyke net is that the fish remain alive and unharmed. This is essential for most fish rearing and census taking operations. In most situations, we recommend knotless netting over knotted due to lower abrasion on

fish. To meet the needs of our customer, we have designed and built many custom nets. We recognize that
different netting situations have different requirements to successfully catch fish. We are more than happy to

SPI Nylon Bait & Live Bags
These Nylon bags are made of knitted, non-run material that does not retain odors. They each have a strong
nylon cord which closes the top securely. When ordering, please specify width, depth and mesh size.

SPI Nylon Hoop Nets
These nets traditionally come complete with seven galvanized steel hoops and are made and tied with #15 twine.
One throat is placed on the second hoop, and one is placed on the fourth hoop. However, we do make many sizes
of hoop nets with any variation of mesh size, hoop types, twine size, or custom work. Please contact us for price
quotes.

Specifications

Throats: Our throats are built in fingered crowfoot style - Fish Swim In But They Do Not Swim Out.
All Nets have seven hoops with two throats placed at the end of the 2nd and 4th hoops.

Hoops: Available in fiberglass and non-rusting galvanized steel.

Special Treatment : Netcoat extends the life of your nets. It seals the fibers of the netting to protect them from
sunlight and water damage. Since the treatment darkens the coloring of the net, it is especially helpfull in catching
catfish. - PLEASE ADD 15% FOR NETCOAT TREATMENT.

Our Standard leads and wings are tied on 1/4" polypropylene rope with SB-2 floats at approximately 48"
intervals and #30 lead line. Please note that the prices below are for untreated netting. If you would like
treated nets, please add 15%.

SPI Nylon Turtle Nets
Our nets are designed to catch turtles more easily and effeciently. The are made of #15 Nylon (125 lb. test),
they are seven feet long, come complete with three galvanized (non-rusting) steel hoops with one throat,
fully assembled and the are READY TO FISH. To use the net, place your bait in a mesh bag and place
the bait bag in the tail of the trap. Attracted by the smell, the turtle will swim in but they can't swim out.
