Standard
gill nets are composed of a single panel of a one mesh. Standard gill
nets tend to be very selective for
individuals of the same size or in some cases a single species because
they are constructed of a single mesh size. However standard gill nets
are very effective collecting a large amount of catch of that representative
size. Standard
gill nets generally are not effective for collecting a broad representative
sample of the fish community.

CAUTION: Mono
Gill Nets are so effective they are banned in most states, check local
game and wildlife for rules governing your area.
SPI
Monofilament Nylon Gill Nets
- Made of 100% treated
monofilament Nylon.
Advantages: Although not so limber as multi, it is
less visibility to the fish and will not catch trash and foreign objects.
- Hung on 1/2 Basis
(200 stretch yards of netting every 100 yards of net)
- Netting is Double
selvage top and bottom and heat set for maximum knot-holding strength
and consistency.
- All our Standard
Gill Nets have 3/8" poly foam float line and 30lb lead-core bottom
line.
